What Does "Copyfight" Mean?
Copyfight, the Solo Years: April 2002-March 2004

This comic touches upon a phenomenon that Zeldman dubs 'The New Samaritans', people making over other people's websites (or, more frequently, organizations' websites) because they feel these organizations fail to understand some basic tenets of the web.
Some organizations appreciate the wake-up call, others see the make-over as an insult or a threat. Copyright law is of course one of the means the latter have to attack such make-overs.

BTW, I am too lazy to do it, but if I were to make-over this blog, I would at least attack the following problems:
1) Font-size: if I wanted tiny letters, I'd set the browser to display tiny letters. In my make-over I would remove all font-size settings.
2) Comment entry box: my comment entry box is often projected on top of the dark blue bar to the right, which results in unreadable letters while I type. My work-around is to increase the browser window size, which I hate to do, as it usually set to the right reading width for other blogs. In my make-over I would let the comment box push the right bar off the screen.
3) Comment entry hints: in my make-over, I would include a list of allowed tags, so that I do not have to guess, and I would include a working preview.

well this interface, without a preview option, stripped out the HTML I inserted (above):

Picture of Lumbergh, from Office Space, who looks a great deal like the stooge in the comic up there
