I am curious as to whether any Australians have brought this up with their Government representatives. I believe Australia has laws requiring all dvd players to be multi-region. So why would computer sellers get an exemption on their DVD drives?
Permalink to CommentPerhaps someone in Australia can kick up a stink, and force computer manufacturers to provide simple firmware updates to remove region restrictions? It would go worldwide and we'd all be a lot happier.
