donna: that was a very 'artful' quotation of carey doctorow's 'right on' comments about what is going on these days on the internet as copywright owners are seemingly being outrun by innovation. it's a bit shameful for these guys to be doing all that backtracking in their efforts to regain their market share of a product that they have overpriced for years. now we are supposed to go along with them as they try to forcefeed us the 'new rules concerning copywright law on products shared on the web. personally, i feel we have lost a bit of 'anarchy' which was fun while it lasted. there is no need to go back to the past except that these guys want to recapture their market share at any cost. oh well, it's been fun while it lasted. i very much hope that the megaprofits that we've seen go to the music industry with so little in comparison going to the artists is dead and gone. i think a lot of people would agree that this backtracking for the sole reason being to keep the rich rich is very transparent. i hope they fail and i beieve that a lot of people share this opinion.just a thought. anyone else? take care, -gil. 14/11.05.
